Sharyn is a skilled online facilitator and virtual producer. She has an extensive background in management as well as being a skilled interviewer. But most importantly she has great people skills and can bring out the best in anyone.
Sharyn has extensive international networks and keeps up to date with the latest remote working trends. She is a member of the RemoteTogether community and regularly participates in collaborative events.
Sharyn and I have worked together closely for the last year on a Salesforce implementation for Lattitude Global Volunteering. Sharyn, as Global Operations Director, has been key to ensuring the successful roll out of the global system by securing team buy-in, assisting with the design of the system and preparing and supporting her team to adopt the new system through training and coaching. She is an excellent operations manger with an eye for detail but still able to focus on the big picture.
Nicola Gibba, Solutions Consultant, UK
I have worked with Sharyn professionally now for more than 10 years as Accountant to the NZ branch of her former organisation. In that time I've seen Sharyn bring transformation and growth to the organisation through an ability to take the best of new ideas and implement them with an enthusiasm that motivates and encourages both her team and those she interacts with. She has that unique quality of being able to grasp where the future lies and then make it happen whilst bringing everyone with her . Chris Lamb - Director NZ
I worked closely with Sharyn for 11 years. Sharyn brings tremendous drive, energy and passion to her work and to bring people together to meet common goals. Sharyn develops strong working relationships within organisations which means teams are ready and willing to follow her lead when it comes to managing and implementing change. In my work alongside Sharyn, she was always very commitment to delivery and ensuring her staff had a clear direction and felt supported.
Glyn Williams - Executive Manager, Australia
Sharyn brought excellence to the team in a number of ways. She had a great sense of systems, and how to rearrange them to make them both more efficient and more effective. But she married those analytical skills with being strongly attuned to the personal needs of her team and her colleagues. She was tenacious in her desire to make the organization better, and conscious of the needs of her colleagues as the changes were implemented.
Cam Sylvester - Former Director - Canada
Sharyn initiated many programs that greatly improved efficiency and services delivered, all while keeping the team on task. One of the changes was implementing the use of Salesforce globally, which was no small feat given that we have offices in Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the UK. Sharyn has a great ability to allow all those on the team to feel like they have a voice, while maintaining a clear direction. She rides a great balance between being detail oriented and seeing the big picture all at once.
Owen Connell - Volunteer Coordinator, Canada
Sharyn is remarkably capable, well-organised person and a pleasure to work with. We work remotely, she in New Zealand and I in Spain, but there is a closeness and warmth about Sharyn's approach, which makes it feel like she's just around the corner. I have seen how Sharyn works under pressure and she is cool and calm, considerate and very human all round. Sharyn is the sort of person who never loses sight of these multiple factors and she has an incredible capacity for multi-level thinking and planning. She will bring out the best and contribute the rest to any organisation . Joshua Goldblatt - Country Manager - Spain
